If you choose to register on the pretoriusbikes.com website (our “site”), it is your responsibility to ensure that the information provided is accurate and up to date. You are also responsible for maintaining your personal information via your online account as well as for keeping your password secret.
When you place an online order through the site, you will be requested to provide personal and card payment details. As part of the online transaction, we will perform a fraud credit check via our payment provider Sage Pay. By submitting a payment through the site, you are granting permission for us to carry out such checks via Sage Pay as required.
Orders on the site are subject to the required stock availability. Our site does not allow you to order products that are out of stock. If the stock position shown on the website is inaccurate and we are unable to send a product for which you have paid for, we will contact you and you will be entitled to receive a full refund or wait until stock becomes available.
All site pricing will be shown in British Pounds (GBP) and payments are made in British Pounds (GBP).
All pricing is shown inclusive of VAT by default, however the website automatically subtracts VAT at the checkout stage if a customer provides billing and delivery addresses which are both outside the UK and EU. The VAT rate is set by law and is currently 20% and applies both to the value of goods you order and any delivery charge.
5. Payment and Order Acceptance
Payment on the website is by credit or debit card. We accept Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard and Maestro. If you would like to pay by bank transfer, please contact us to make arrangements.
Payments for all orders are taken at the time the order is placed and are subject to fraud checks and checks by the card issuer. By submitting your order on our site, you are confirming that the credit/debit card is yours or that you have authority from the cardholder to make the payment. We reserve the right to refuse payments and orders for customers who are not 18 years of age or older.
We will process your payments securely via the Sage Pay payments system, and all payment details will be encrypted. All stored card details will be stored securely on Sage Pay’s secure servers.
Your payment and order will only be deemed as final once goods have been delivered. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our own discretion up until this point.
6. Returns and Exchanges
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you can return it for an exchange or refund, provided it is within 30 days of receipt of your order and the item is as new and in the original packaging. Products purchased as gifts can be refunded in full to the original purchaser; alternatively we can provide a credit to the gift recipient.
To initiate a return please contact us. All returns must be sent back to Pretorius within one month of the refund or exchange request being made and must be sent by a registered and traceable service. We reserve the right to refuse refunds for returned items, which are not in saleable condition.
If you think a product is faulty please contact us. Faulty items can returned within twelve (12) months from the date of purchase and will be replaced, repaired or refunded following evaluation by us. Faulty goods are classified as items that are received damaged or develop a manufacturing fault. Items are not considered to be faulty if they are damaged as a result of excessive or long term usage, or if they have been used for a purpose they weren’t designed for. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
7. Intellectual property rights
Usage of the Pretorius site grants you no rights to any copyright or intellectual property rights relating to the content of the site. All copyright is protected under national and international law. Any site content can only be reproduced or distributed with express permission from Pretorius Bikes Ltd.
8. Pretorius Training Ride terms
By registering for a Pretorius Training Ride, you are agreeing to the Eventbrite terms and conditions. You must also review and agree to the ride terms and conditions:
Helmet usage is mandatory on all training rides. We reserve the right to refuse participation on rides if you are not wearing a helmet.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your bike is roadworthy, and that you are able to get yourself back under your own guidance.
You may be required to sign a waiver form before participating on a training ride. A ride leader retains the right to refuse participation in a ride without a signed waiver form.
Any changes we may make to these Terms and Conditions in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail. Please check back frequently to see any updates or changes to these Terms and Conditions.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and you and we agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in respect of any matter arising hereunder.
12. Training Camps
By making a booking you confirm that:
- You have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them
- You are over 18 years of age
12.1. Booking and Payments
Your booking will only be confirmed once:
- We receive payment for the deposit of the trip, or full payment if you are booking within 60 days of departure
- We issue you with a booking confirmation
The balance of the cost of your trip is due 60 days prior to scheduled departure. If we do not receive this balance in full and on time, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you in which case our standard cancellation policy (see clause 8) will apply.
Whilst we reserve the right to change the advertised prices of a trip at any time, once your booking confirmation has been issued the price shown is the guaranteed price for your trip. We reserve the right to return your deposit and decline to issue a confirmation at our absolute discretion.
12.3. Your obligations
All participants are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly and acceptable manner and not to disrupt the enjoyment of other participants for the duration of the trip. You shall follow the instructions of all Pretorius staff and ride leaders at all times.
If we believe your behavior is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any of our other guests or any third party or damage to property, or to cause a delay or diversion to the tour or other transportation, we reserve the right to terminate your booking arrangements with us immediately, and we will have no further obligations to you or be liable for any costs incurred as a result of termination.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate travel insurance for your trip that covers you to undertake road cycling, and which includes cover for baggage, cancellation charges, medical expenses including existing condition and repatriation in the event of accident or illness. If you choose to travel without adequate insurance cover, we will not be liable for any losses howsoever arising.
12.5. Cancelling your trip
Should you wish to cancel your booking you must contact us on immediately. Once we receive your cancellation notice we will send an email confirming your cancellation request, which will take effect immediately. Please note it is possible to transfer your booking to another rider (see clause 5 below).
In the event that you cancel your trip the following charges will apply (charges are calculated as a percentage of your total trip price):
- 60+ days prior to departure date – Full deposit
- 40 to 59 days prior to departure – 30%
- 30 to 39 days prior to departure – 50%
- 15 to 29 days prior to departure – 75%
- 8 to 14 days prior to departure – 90%
- 7 days or less prior to departure – 100%
No refunds will be made for meals, services or accommodation not taken or used.
12.6. Transferring your trip
If after booking you are unable to go on your trip for any reason please contact us immediately. It may be possible to transfer to another trip, or transfer your place to another suitable rider, depending on when we receive your transfer notification.
If your transfer request is made more than 60 days prior to your trip departure date you can transfer to another trip with availability. If your transfer request is made 60 days or fewer from the departure date, and you can’t find a suitable rider to take your place, our standard cancellation policy (see clause 8) will apply. It may be possible to transfer your spot to another suitable rider at any time, please contact us to discuss.
12.7. Our rights
We reserve the right to cancel or alter your trip at any time prior to your departure date, due to unavoidable events, such as but not limited to: acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disaster; epidemic or pandemic; terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, or breaking off of diplomatic relations; nuclear, chemical or biological contamination; or collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident, (together “unavoidable events”). We also reserve the right to cancel or alter your trip at any time prior to your departure date (at our discretion), although we assure you that we will endeavor to only do this when strictly necessary.
12.8. Changes by us
We will use our best endeavors to ensure that your trip isn’t changed, but it is occasionally necessary and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most changes will be minor and we will notify of these changes as soon as possible. If we have to make a major change to your trip you will be given the option to a) accept the changes, b) have a refund for all monies paid or, c) transfer monies paid to be used on another trip with availability.
12.9. Cancellation by us
If we are required to cancel your trip due to unavoidable events you will be entitled to a) book onto another available trip, b) have all monies paid refunded or, c) have all monies paid as a credit towards another trip.
As our trips have a minimum number of attendees required, there may be times when we need to cancel a trip due to this number not being reached. For this reason we encourage participants to not arrange their flights and insurance until after their chosen trip has been confirmed. We will never cancel a trip with 30 days or less to the departure date. However, if we do need to cancel a trip more than 30 days before the departure date you will be entitled to a) book onto another available trip, b) have all monies paid refunded or, c) have all monies paid as a credit towards another trip.
Please note, if we are unable to run the trip as advertised due to an unavoidable event, or if we cancel more than 30 days before the departure date, we will not be liable for any flight, insurance or other associated costs you have incurred.
12.10. Passport, Visa and Immigration Requirements and Health Formalities
It is your responsibility to check and fulfill the passport, visa, health and immigration requirements applicable to your itinerary. Requirements do change and you must check the up to date position in good time before departure.
Most countries now require passports to be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. If your passport is in its final year, you should check with the Embassy of the country you are visiting. For further information contact the Passport Office on 0870 5210410 or visit www.passport.gov.uk

Non British passport holders, including other EU nationals, should obtain up to date advice on passport and visa requirements from the Embassy, High Commission or
Consulate of your destination or country(ies) which you are travelling through.
We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel, or incur any other loss because you have not complied with any passport, visa, immigration requirements or health formalities. You agree to reimburse us in relation to any fines or other losses which we incur as a result of your failure to comply with any passport, visa, immigration requirements or health formalities.
Nothing in these terms and conditions limits or excludes our liability to you for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. To the extent your property is lost or damaged due to our acts or omissions, we shall be liable for the cost of repairing or replacing any such property, up to a maximum of £2,000 and we therefore suggest you bear this in mind when packing for your trip.
Without prejudice to paragraphs and our entire financial liability whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise (including any liability for the acts or omissions of our employees, agents, consultants, and subcontractors) to you in respect of any breach of these terms and conditions shall be limited to the amount you paid for your trip.
We shall not be liable to you for any: loss of, or damage to, your property caused by your own act or omission; claim for disappointment; or claim for loss of enjoyment; or loss incurred as a result of unavoidable events; or loss incurred due to the theft of bicycles; or loss incurred due to injury as a result of cycling either on or off road, unless such injury is caused by our negligence; or loss related to any business of yours such as lost data, lost profits, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of goodwill or other business loss that you may incur as a result of any breach of these terms and conditions; or other special, indirect or consequential losses.
All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from these terms and conditions. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall affect your statutory rights.
12.12. Data Protection
We will use the personal information you provide to us to: provide your trip; process your payment for your trip; and inform you about similar products or services that we provide. You agree that we may pass your personal information to credit reference agencies and that they may keep a record of any search that they do. We will not give your personal data to any other third party.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, and we will always notify you in writing if this happens, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these terms. This arrangement is between you and Pretorius Bikes Limited. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms. Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect. If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these terms, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you. These terms are governed by English law. Both you and Pretorius Bikes Limited agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
